Transparency about information you share with us through our website.
This website is operated by Invent Alliance Limited (“we”, “us”). When you use our contact or Invent Academy registration forms, we receive the details you choose to send us. This notice is provided for transparency and should be reviewed alongside any legal advice applicable in Nigeria (including the Nigeria Data Protection Act and Regulation) or other jurisdictions where you reside.
We do not intentionally collect special-category data through these forms. Please do not submit health or other sensitive information unless we expressly ask for it.
We use submissions to respond to enquiries and to assess or progress Invent Academy registration interest. Depending on context, processing may rely on your consent (for example where you voluntarily submit a form) and/or our legitimate interests in operating our business and responding to prospective customers and trainees. Where the law requires a different basis, we will rely on that basis instead.
Submissions are delivered by email to the appropriate Invent Alliance team so we can respond or follow up. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use these forms for automated profiling or decision-making that produces legal effects about you.
Data you submit is processed by our staff and may be stored or transmitted through our email and IT providers (for example hosting or email services). Public pages may also rely on the processors described under Content management & admin access and Audience analytics below (for example Sanity for CMS content, Google for administrator sign-in where used, and — if you opt in — our self-hosted analytics instance). Some providers may process data outside Nigeria. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Editorial content on parts of this site (such as blog and team profiles) may be loaded from Sanity, our headless content platform. Sanity processes content and metadata according to our agreement with them and their documentation (including hosting region choices made when the project was created).
Access to the /admin area (dashboard and embedded Sanity Studio) is restricted. Administrators authenticate with Google OAuth using an OAuth client operated by Invent Alliance(Google Workspace / Cloud Console). Google receives authentication-related data as described in Google's privacy notices. Only accounts permitted by our configuration (allowlisted emails or approved email domain) can complete sign-in.
Sanity Studio inside /admin/studio may prompt editors for a separate Sanity account unless single sign-on or tokens are configured in Sanity — see Sanity's own documentation.
We may use a self-hosted deployment of Plausible Analytics (open-source, privacy-oriented metrics) to understand aggregated traffic on public pages. Plausible is configured to avoid third-party advertising trackers and does not use cookies for analytics in the same way as many ad networks.
Whether analytics scripts load depends on the consent mode chosen for this deployment (environment variable NEXT_PUBLIC_ANALYTICS_CONSENT):
The tracked "site domain" sent to Plausible identifies this website; page views are aggregated. Your choices may be stored locally (for example in localStorage and a limited cookie) so we can respect them on later visits.
Retention depends on the nature of your enquiry and our internal records policies (for example correspondence and recruitment-related records). Email copies may be retained for ordinary business periods unless you ask us to delete them sooner and we have no overriding legal reason to keep them. Contact us if you need specifics for your case.
Operation of this site uses cookies and storage mechanisms typical for a secure session (for example administrator login where applicable). Marketing / audience analytics from our self-hosted Plausible instance are controlled as described above: under the default opt-in setting, non-essential analytics do not run until you consent; we store your preference so we do not repeatedly ask on every page.
Embedded maps, chat widgets, or other third-party frames may set their own cookies or storage according to their providers' policies.
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures for this site, including HTTPS for visitors. No online transmission is completely secure; please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information through the forms.
If crash or error reporting (Sentry) is enabled for the application, technical diagnostics may be sent to that service to help us fix defects — limited to what the SDK collects and your deployment settings.
Invent Academy flows are intended for users aged 16 and over (and 18+ for the investor stream). If you believe a child has submitted personal data without appropriate consent, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object, or port personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. To exercise these rights or raise concerns, contact us via our Contact page. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Data protection contact: use the channels listed on the Contact page until a dedicated privacy inbox or Data Protection Officer is published here.
We may update this page when our practices change. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated summary where appropriate.
